What we are here to do
To work with communities and partners to improve education, disability inclusion, water and sanitation, livelihoods, protection and sustainable local development, with priority given to rural and underserved populations.
A community-based nonprofit working toward inclusion, opportunity, and sustainable local development in Sierra Leone.

CDEO is a community-focused organization committed to improving opportunities for vulnerable children, persons with disabilities, women, and underserved rural communities.
Our work emphasizes educational access, disability inclusion, community empowerment, access to basic services, and sustainable local development. We aim to connect underserved communities with opportunities, resources, partnerships, and practical interventions that improve lives.
To work with communities and partners to improve education, disability inclusion, water and sanitation, livelihoods, protection and sustainable local development, with priority given to rural and underserved populations.
A society in which every child, person with a disability, woman and underserved community can live with dignity, participate fully and access the opportunities and basic services needed to thrive.
CDEO is guided by these values in every project, partnership, and decision.

Four habits shape how every CDEO activity is planned and delivered.
Start with the priorities and barriers that communities themselves identify.
Build local and international partnerships that respect community ownership.
Design every intervention so children, women, and persons with disabilities can take part.
Share progress honestly, distinguishing proposed, ongoing, and completed work.
Our official organizational objectives will be published here once approved. In the meantime, our focus areas show where we are directing our efforts:
